Summary
Birds-eye view print shows the walled city and fortress of Douai, France under siege between May 4 and June 25, 1710. Includes views of the city's church towers, soldiers firing cannons at the city, and smoke rising on the battlefield. In the foregoround flanked by two trees on either side are a group of five generals on horseback and the wheels and part of a wagon. Slightly below is a horse-drawn caisson with cannon and a tent with a hoisted flag, a table is visible underneath. Includes panorama view of the landscape in the background.
