Summary

Print shows battle scene from behind of armies on horseback on attack with smoke and fire rising up from the Suleiman the Magnificent Bridge in Esseckh in the Hungarian Empire (present day Osijek, Croatia) in January 1664. At top of image are cartouche portraits of Count Nicolas von Serin and Sultan Mehmet IV. Between the portraits is a small map of the layout of the battlefield along the Drava River showing the location of von Serin's camp. The bridge was later rebuilt by Suleiman the II but was burnt down again by the Austrian army in 1686.
