Heroes of Nicaraguan service receive decorations from Secretary of Navy. Seven officers of the United States Navy and Marine Corps were presented with decorations for distinguished service in Nicaragua by Secretary of the Navy Charles Francis Adams today at the Navy Department. In this picture Secretary Adams is pinning the Distinguished Medal on Rear Admiral David Sellers, Judge Advocate General of the Navy, who was commander of the Special Service in Nicaragua from July 1927 to May 1929. Others in the picture are Lieut. Col. C.R. Wallace, U.S.M.C., who also received Distinguished Service Federal Lieut. Col. C. R. Sanderson; 2nd Lieut. E. H. Saltzman; 2nd Lieut. Earl S. Piper; 2nd Lieut. John S. Letcher, all of whom received the Navy Cross. Lieut. John B. O'Neill, U.S. Navy received a star in lieu of Navy Cross as was previously awarded the Cross
