2011 Leicester B. Holland Prize, Entry
Significance: The 19th century High Farm complex is attributed to Abraham High, owner from 1837 to 1853 and built upon an 18th century settlement site. The stone house, 1848, was designed for two generations, the north half for the less active fanily, the south half for the younger working members. Access to the outkitchen, cellar, and well was convenient to the south porch, aiding in food storage, processing and preparation.
