Knox Brick House, 914 Anacape Street, Santa Barbara, Santa Barbara County, CA
Summary
Significance: The basically symmetrical plan and the symmetrical street facade represent a conservative carry-over from the eastern sections of the country. The low pitched shed roof, hidden behind the front and side brick parapets, and the original small wood entrance porch were highly fashionable features of the mid to late 19th century.
