Production. B-24 bombers and C-87 transports. A girl mechanic in a large Western aircraft plant rivets the belly of a new consolidated transport plane. The Cleco fasteners which protrude from the surface hold the sections of metal in place while the riveting job is being done. This new transport, adapted from the B-24 bomber, is known as the C-87, and carries one of the greatest human or cargo loads of any plane now in mass production
