The parricide A sketch of modern patriotism.
Summary
Print shows a woman wearing a feathered headdress, representing "America", stepping on Britannia's broken spear and shield, she lunges from the left, at the direction of John Wilkes, toward "Britannia" who is being restrained by two men, at the same time the British lion lunges from the right, guided by Lord Camden. Several ministers assist with the "parricide", and on the far left, Discord, an old medusa-like hag, raises two torches in victory. An abyss appears to be opening at Britannia's feet.
