Joseph Curran, President of the National Maritime Union, was brought into the Nation's labor spotlight this week when he demanded the ouster of Joseph P. Kennedy, Chairman of the U.S. Maritime Commission, and Dan. S. Ring, of the Commissions Personnel Division. Kennedy for his order to put the striking seaman aboard the Algic in irons at Montevideo, and Ring for his "bias and prejudice" toward the Seaman's Union. 10/27/37
