Refugees in front of the old palace, Athens. This was used as a palace by King George 1, who was killed in 1912, during the war it was used as a hospital. Now part of it is occupied by refugees and part of it is offices for the relief of refugees. To this palace refugees come every day to learn whether lost relatives and friends have been found; a bureau for that purpose is maintained there. Refugees come also to this palace to get their identification books, entitled them to relief. The names of those whose books are ready are called out of the window
