Production. War housing trailers. Stepped-up production of war housing trailers caused an assembly line to overflow into a plant yard at both ends. View of the spill-over assembly line of Western Trailer Company at Los Angeles. Chassis seen here have been much simplified over former types, using a minimum of steel. Wood stringers replace metal formerly employed. The trailer in the background has sides in place and is now ready to hit the inside assembly line
