The American Red Cross is co-operating with the U.S. Government in their vocational Education plans. The picture shows Miss Ruth Burke, American Red Cross, with a group of boys to whom she has just explained how Uncle Sam is going to look after the men who were wounded, but who are unable to follow their former occupations. By teaching them new trades and professions the Government hopes to have these men absorbed into the Commercial and Professional life once more. This picture was taken at the Red Cross Hospital at Beau Desert
