Summary

Two prints glued together show the maps of the areas of two sites along the Danube River where battles were fought in 1703 and 1704. The top print shows a map along the Danube River between Gundelfingen and Donauwerth with the towns of Lauingen, Dillingen and Höchst identifying locations of affected areas in the Battle of Höchstädt fought on September 20, 1703. Outlined are the troop locations and fortifications along the river with tributaries of Die Brenz, Die Schmutter and Der Lech indicated. Key identifiies locations in print (identified A-G). The bottom print shows the view of Passau on the confluence of the Danube, Iltz and Inn Rivers with fortifications of Innstatt and Oberhaus noted. The city of Passau was captured by French and Bavarian forces in January, 1704.

First print in French and German. Second print in German. Second print has printed in lower left corner: "Iohan Stridbeck Iunior, fecit et excudit".
