Summary

Print shows a bird's-eye view of the buildings of Mower Hospital on Chestnut Hill in Philadelphia during the Civil War. Designed by John McArthur, Mower was the largest of the Philadelphia hospitals. It operated between January 1863 and May 1865.

Title and key to the image are printed on an overlay adhered to the print.
The Library has a variant impression of the one in the Library Company of Philadelphia. Queen's signature is hidden by the overlay.
