Selecting star American farmers. Washington, D.C. Oct. 7. Selection of the winners for the awards given each year by the Kansas City Star to the vocational agricultural students members of the Future Farmers of America, was made today at the Office of Education, U.S. Department of Interior. The awards, amounting to $1300, are made to those members judged as outstanding in their farming programs. The winners will be announced at the ninth annual convention of the Future Farmers of America in Kansas City, Mo., Oct. 17-24.
