Birds-eye view print shows view of the city of Grosswardein (Oradea, Romania) under siege. Smoke rising from the cathedral and along the city wall is visible, cannons are firing from across the river. Troops in formation surround the town. On the hill above the scene in the foreground are four men on horseback and another man holding up a plan of the fortress for them to see. After a fourteen month long siege, imperial forces conquered the city from the Ottomans in 1692.
