Interesting patterns are formed by the wings of A-20 attack bombers, waiting their turn on the assembly lines of the Long Beach, California, plant of Douglas Aircraft Company. The A-20 is used by the American Air Force and Royal Air Force (RAF) for hedge hopping and strafing operations against ground troops and installations--also for reconnaissance work and night fighting. It is armed with light and heavy caliber guns
