Summary

Print shows two birds-eye views battlefields of Hameln and near present day Hessich-Oldendorf, Germany in June/July 1633. The upper image shows the fortifications around the city of Hameln located on the confluence of the Weser and Hammel rivers and troop locations. Details in the print are labeled A-D in the print with a key in small box at the bottom of the upper print. The lower image showstroop formations outside of the city of labeled "Aldendorff" [Oldendorf] on the left side of the print. In the foreground in the left corner of the print shows two soldiers on horseback on a hill overlooking the battlefield. A horse drawn wagon is visible descending into the valley on the road on the right side of the print. Details in the print are numbered 1-45 without a key. The Imperial relief army was defeated by the Swedish forces near Oldendorf following the Swedish siege of the imperial held town of Hameln between March and June of 1633.
