Print shows two birds-eye views battlefields outside of Freystadt, Germany on August 1 and at Altenberg, outside of Nuremberg on August 24, 1632. Indicated on the upper image are different towns and villages including Fürth, Nuremberg, Lauff, Schwabach, Rott and Freystat [Freystadt]. Troop formations and locations are identified with key details labeled A-F in the print. Includes explanatory key in the left hand corner of the image above the caption in the upper print with explanatory text. The lower image shows battle formations on the hillside of Altenberg. In the foreground in the left corner of the print shows two soldiers on horseback engaged in battle. A fallen horse, a fallen soldier and another soldier fights in front of the soldiers on horseback.
